After graduating from VCU with a degree in music and Information Systems, I moved into retail management and music instruction. I spent my time with Starbucks Coffee and Trader Joe’s coaching and mentoring crew members as well as teaching drum lessons. During this time I learned a lot about breaking things down and helping others understand new concepts by tailoring lessons around individual learning styles. I also learned the success of a business depends on connecting with your customers and understanding their needs. I started coding because I like to build things. I enjoy problem solving and the process of putting things together and seeing what happens. I work with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, WordPress, Ajax, Firebase, MySQL, Mongodb, APIs, and more!
